DBSA Merrimack Valley's mission is to improve the lives of people living with mental illness.
Our meetings, Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:30 (see our meeting page) are open to anyone who suffers from the symptoms of a mood disorder, and their families and friends. It is a supportive, trustworthy, respectful, nonjudgmental atmosphere to share strategies, tips, and experiences to help others cope successfully with depression or bipolar disorder.
No appointments or referrals are needed to participate in our groups. We do not require membership or fees.
Due to the sensitivity of the issues discussed and for the privacy of our members, participants in group must be at least 18 years of age.
We are a chapter of the National Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance based in Chicago. and a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit.
We are self-funded and depend on financial support from the public.
